I have always heard great things about Smashbox Cosmetics but have never gotten the chance to try them.  I usually stick to the generic Cover Girl and Maybelline beauty products because they are easy and convenient and best of all cheap!  And on a mommy budget this was one of the top reasons for buying this kind of makeup.  It got the job done and seemed to work well enough for my skin type.  Little did I know what I was missing!  It is truly amazing what a difference good makeup can do for your complextion and overall appearance.  Like I said, money was always a big factor when buying makeup.  What I now realize that is I use a LOT more of the cheaper stuff because it just doesn’t seem to apply as well and wears off so quickly!  When I used the Smashbox Cosmetics, they were easy to apply and very long lasting, meaning LESS reapplication and LESS money spent overall!

High Quality Makeup

I was sent a variety of high quality makeup products from Smashbox Cosmetic for review.  These products included the O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Color, Intuitive Lip Plumper, Fusion Soft Lights powder, Anti-Shine, Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion and Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer.  The O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Color is an amazing product and one of my favorites that I received.  This stuff is truly magic!  Its a clear gel that works with your face’s chemistry to create a custom cheek color for you.  Just apply on the cheek bones and blend into cheeks.  The clear gel will turn in the color that you normally blush in seconds.  How this works is beyond me but I’m in love with this product.  I applied some this morning before heading to the gym to give myself some color without having to apply a full face of makeup!  It just gives you that perfect blushing glow.  The O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Color retails for $22.00. I have to admit that the O-Plump Intuitive Lip Plumper had me a bit worried.  I had visions of me walking around with huge plumped out lips like someone out of the Real Housewives!!  But I do love the look of full lips so I decided to give it a try.  The lip plumper starts out as a clear gel and then turns into a soft pink glow.  It did make my lips feel tingly, almost like I was applying a medicated lip balm, but that was mild and went away in a couple minutes.  The O-Plump created a very subtle fullness in lips and the shade of pink was perfect for my skin tone.  I can’t wait for my husband to come home and see if he notices a difference!  The O-Plump Intuitive Lip Plumper retails for $24.00.

Bronzer for Fair Skin

I am always looking for ways to make my skin appear more tan but have had a hard time finding a bronzer for fair skin.  The Smashbox Fusion Soft Lights is the perfect combination of colors for my skin tone.  I applied the powder over my cheeks and it gave me a sun kissed, straight from the beach glow.  There is a bit of shimmer in it so it would be great for an evening out!  It gives a subtle bit of color without looking fake!  The Fusion Soft Lights retails for $30.00.  I was very impressed with the Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer.  Other concealers that I have tried seem to be too thick and look heavy on my skin.  The Concealer in Shade 2 was perfect to cover up blemishes and under eye circles on my fair skin!  The Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer retails for $20.00.  The Smashbox Anti-Shine is a great addition to your beauty products collection.  Many people, like me, seem to have a problem with oily skin, especially after a long day at work or an active night out with friends.  The Anti-Shine is a gel to powder formula that helps control oily skin throughout the day.  I applied the Anti-Shine after my facial lotion and before my makeup and it kept my oily skin under control most of my busy 12hr shift as a nurse. I applied a small amount to my nose and forehead before going out that night after work and it worked amazing.  The Anti-Shine retails for $27.

Lightweight Facial Lotion

If you are looking for a lightweight facial lotion that gives you that glow, you have to try Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion.  This product is amazing and one of my new favorite products to use for a night out with friends or on a date.  Everyone loves to have that healthy glowing look and this lotion can help you acheive that.  I mixed a small amount of the luminizing lotion with my foundation and applied to skin.  The Luminizing Lotion made the foundation smooth and easier to apply.  The result was amazing; a soft shimmery glow to my skin!  It makes your skin look radiant and also helps to hide those small imperfections in your skin.  You can even use a small amount to highlight cheeks and brow bones.  The Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion retails for $26.

One thing I love about Smashbox, besides the amazing, high quality products, is they make reordering your products so easy.  There is an option for a replenishment service with each item.  You can chose to have your makeup shipped every few weeks or months, eliminating the need to place a new order everytime you run out of things.  Once you start using their makeup, you will be able to figure out how often you need to reorder and this will save all those steps in between.  Never again will you run out of something and have to wait for shipment.  They do all that remembering for you!  Once you try Smashbox Cosmetics, you will never settle for anything less.
