I love to cook and am always looking for new and creative recipes for my family. I have been making strides to eat a healthier diet and the family has been very supportive. We have stopped eating fried foods, so I have been looking for a replacement recipe for my famous fried chicken. When I was sent a new line of tasty chips to try out, I thought they may be the perfect solution to this problem. With the Vintage Italia Pasta Chips, you get some of your favorite pasta flavors in a chip! You can enjoy such mouth watering flavors like Garlic Olive Oil, which is my favorite, Sea Salt, which is Caitlin’s favorite and the Alfredo and Marinara, which turned out to be a family favorite.

The chips are made with Semolina flour and have 60% less fat than traditional potato chips. With their blend of herbs and Tuscan inspired flavors, you get a Italian party in your mouth! The idea came from a trip to the hills of Tuscany and a stop at a small Osteria, which is a place you can enjoy wine and simple Italian foods. After being served a gently baked fresh pasta dough which was drizzled with olive oil and a pinch of salt, the idea was formed. To make a pasta chip which was simple, good, had a taste of Italy and was healthier than other chips was a dream come true for pasta and chip connoisseurs everywhere!

I decided to take the Spicy Tomato Herb Pasta Chips and use them in a recipe which would be a twist on my fattier fried chicken. I decided to bread chicken tenderloins with them and bake them for a more healthy version and the results were delicious! The recipe is simple and you can create your own versions using the Spicy Tomato Herb or one of the other Pasta Chips flavors. You can also see several recipes on the Vintage Italia Pasta Chips website. You can purchase the Pasta Chips at Target, Duane Reade, Harris Teeter and other fine retailers.
