Mayor Tom Kane, played by Kelsey Grammer, is a very powerful player in the Chicago’s web of power which has been built on a covenant with his people. Things need to be done in their city and they want Tom Kane to do it. The people of Chicago need to be led, jobs made, disputes settled, and their loyalties rewarded. They do not care what methods he may use, even if it may be deception and immorality as long as the job gets done. The townspeople have an uncanny ability to turn their heads the other way.
But Kane has a secret that only his estranged daughter, Emma, has a chance of learning. Not even his wife, Meredith knows of the degenerative brain disorder that is slowly ripping all he is and knows. He cannot trust his memory, his closest allies, or even himself.
This show sounds awesome, and Kelsey Grammer has always been one of my favorite actors.
