I am a huge music fan, which I am super excited to have had that love passed on to me from my mom. All of my kids are also huge music buffs and not only listen to it but also play. Chelsea plays several stringed instruments and Caitlin plays the violin. Whenever we get together, are cleaning the house, cooking or when I am working, I have music playing in the house. I am partial to music from the 1980’s and 1990’s while Chelsea loves every genre of music and Caitlin is mostly into current pop music. I have downloaded a lot of music this past year and wanted to see if my favorites were among the top best selling albums of 2013. My favorite was Babel from Mumford and Sons, which was #11 and Night Visions from Imagine Dragons, which was #4.

When we listen to music in our house, we do so in a variety of ways. We all have an iPod, use the computer with a wireless speaker or listen streamed through the TV. One of my favorite ways to listen to music is old school baby! Give me a vinyl album any day and I am a happy girl. This year I decided to get a turntable, and I went with the Spinnerette, which retails for $150, from Crosley Radio. This turntable has a look reminiscent of the 1950’s but has today’s recent technology. It comes with a USB connection compatible with PC or Mac and a portable audio outlet for your mp 3 player. I am going to spill a family story that is not very pretty and it involves this turntable.
Remember when I told you we were all huge music fans. Well, apparently, we are also huge turntable freaks and an argument broke out at Christmas over the Spinnerette. I had it in my room and was enjoying listening to the Bob Marley album which I also received from Crosley and Caitlin announced she wanted to “borrow” the turntable. I have not seen it since. When Chelsea came for Christmas and saw the Spinnerette, she wanted to know why her sister got one and not her. I tried, to no avail, to explain it was actually mine and Caitlin was just borrowing it. Needless to say, Chelsea will be getting a turntable from Crosley for her birthday this year! If you want to hear music the way it was intended, you need to look into the turntables, jukeboxes, radios and other products from Crosley Radio.
