I have a little confession to make. I have a teeny, tiny little crush on Jim Halpert. Do you know Jim Halpert? He’s on The Office. If you don’t know The Office you need to get on it ASAP—it comes on Thursday nights on Expert Satellite Now, I want to be clear here. I do not necessarily have a crush on John Krasinski, who is the actor who plays Jim Halpert. My obsession (did I say obsession? I meant teeny, tiny crush) is firmly based on Jim Halpert’s personality. He is hilarious. His sense of humor is completely wry and his facial expressions are second to none. On the show, Jim plays a disengaged corporate employee who spends about as much time playing practical jokes and doing on-camera interviews as he does working. It seems like a lot more fun than my job, if we’re being honest. Jim also fell in love with a coworker Pam early on, and is now married to her. He is so sweet to her, and two of them have so much fun together. The newest season fast-forwarded a bit from last season, so Pam and Jim now have two children and Pam is pregnant with their third. It’s so crazy how far they’ve come—from secretly having crushes on each other to being married with three children. Hey, Pam? I totally get it. And I’m a teeny, tiny bit jealous.
