Every year before Halloween, I search the top Halloween costumes for kids to get ideas on what to dress my children in this year.  My five year old son, Tate, loves anything superheros or Avengers so I knew that would be an easy decision.  It would just be a matter of which of the many superhero costumes to chose from.  My two year old daughter, Reagan, on the other hand, loves everything from princesses to animals.  The decision on what to dress her would be more difficult!  I have shopped at Halloween Express in the past and have always had success of finding the best Halloween costumes.  So I started my search on the Halloween Express website under the “New for 2012” tab to find the perfect costume for each of my children!

Avengers Iron Man Costume

Upon searching for the Halloween costume for my superhero loving son, I discovered the Avengers Iron Man Costume.  Tate just had an Avenger superhero birthday party and I knew that he would love this costume.  He loves all the Avengers, especially Iron Man and Captain America!  I received the Iron Man Avenger Costume from Disguise in a small 4-6x size and it fit my 5 year old perfectly.  The costumes in size toddler 3t-4t all the way to large 10-12.  The Iron Man Avenger costume is made from 100% polyester and is soft and comfortable for my son to wear.  We live in Southwest Florida so Halloween is usually warm and humid.  The costume is light and breathable and will be comfortable for my son to wear trick or treating around the neighborhood.   The set comes with a one piece jumpsuit and a character mask.  The jumpsuit is bright gold and red and the character mask is plastic with a comfortable elastic band to hold in place.  My son loves the costume and we will definitely get lots of use out of it even after the holidays are over!  The Iron Man Avengers Costume retails for $35.99 and is currently on sale for $29.99.

Captain America Costumes for Kids

When Tate and I first started looking for costume, he had a difficult time deciding between Iron Man and Captain America costumes for kids.  Luckily we were able to review both costumes as well as a costume for my daughter!  This made for two happy kids in my house!  The Captain America Avengers costume was also a big hit with my son!  Like the Iron Man costume, the Captain America costume came in a size small 4-6x and fit my son perfectly.  The 100% polyester costume comes with a one-piece jumpsuit and headpiece.  The one piece jumpsuit is red, white and blue and has stripes across the stomach and a star on the chest, just like the real Captain America.  There is even red on the bottom half of the pants to resemble boots.  The headpiece is stretchy and is extremely soft and comfortable to wear.  It covers the top of the head and eyes with a large A on the forehead.  The Captain American shield is sold seperately on the website!  The Captain America Avengers costume by Disguise retails for $35.99 and is currently on sale for $29.99.

Toddler Girls Tutu Butterfly Costume

After finding two perfect costumes for my son, I found the most adorable toddler girls tutu butterfly costume for my daughter!  I wanted something fun and girly for Reagan to wear for Halloween.  She loves butterflies and also loves dressing up.  Reagan was so happy and excited to see her beautiful Ballerina Butterfly costume from Fun World Div.  The toddler 3t-4t costume fits my 30 lb toddler well with enough room to wear again next year!  I chose the Ballerina Butterfly costume in a bright blue color which looks great against her fair skin and red hair!  The costume comes with the dress, butterfly wings, glovelets, and black antennae headband.  The dress is a black and blue leotard with an attached full black and blue tutu skirt.  There are also blue tulle accents on the sleeves of the dress.  The tutu skirt is accented with black and white ribbon.  The costume also includes the finger less mittens with blue ribbon accents.  The Ballerina Butterfly looks adorable with a pair of black leggings and black shoes.  I can’t wait for Reagan to wear this adorable outfit out on Halloween this year.   I know she will be excited to add this to her dress up collection after Halloween is over!  The Ballerina Butterfly costume retails for $41.99 and is currently on sale for $34.99.
