Travelling With Kids

Travelling With Kids

My family travels all the time. I was blessed with the travel bug and I hope to pass this on to my children. My eyes have really been opened to different cultures from my excursions, and I believe this has given me a deeper understanding about how the world works. I learned from a very young age that people were different and I accepted and LOVED those differences. However, travelling with kids can be difficult. They whine and gripe and always want to know, “Are we there yet.” I know it is difficult for me to stay still in a car for long periods of time, I could not even imagine how it must feel to be strapped in like Fort Knox!

VTech MobiGo 2

Can you imagine how relieved I was to receive a VTech MobiGo 2 right before our 5-hour drive up to St. Augustine. Five hours is a really, really long time to just sit in the car and stare at the back of my head. The MobiGo 2 was easy enough for my 3-year-old to operate and he loved how you could slide the keyboard in and out. His favorite game was the Hamster game, and much to my delight,  he spent a good hour maneuvering that rascally hamster around obstacles. There was also a really neat coloring book game that he enjoyed. It even sparked up some conversation between my two kids and sharing actually occurred while they passed the MobiGo 2 back and forth laughing at the color combinations they made.

Using The MobiGo At Home

Because of the wide variety of cool and attention-capturing features, Mason and Jakobi play with their MobiGo at home too. It isn’t like some of their other games where it gets “played out” and they have accomplished all there is to do. The MobiGo 2 has an e-reader, photo album, photo viewer, art studio, and coloring book. I think that is a great value for $59.99 and it includes 3 games to play when you register on the Learning Lodge Navigator. The MobiGo is also small enough to fit into my purse so it makes for great educational entertainment while I am at the doctor’s office or at the grocery store. I was so impressed with the MobiGo, I bought one for Jakobi too!

The new MobiGo 2 Touch Learning System is a multi-functional, educational handheld system that allows kids ages 3-8 to enjoy on-the-go play and hone their creativity.

  • Kids will learn basic skills such as math, vocabulary, spelling, reading, logic, drawing and more.
  • The QWERTY keyboard also helps kids become familiar with a keyboard layout.

MobiGo 2 comes equipped with a NEW motion sensor and microphone in addition to the touchscreen all for the same price of $59.99.

  • The NEW motion sensor provides total game control, allowing kids to create action movements within games and programs while playing
  • The NEW microphone provides different methods of game play. Blow into the microphone to move objects, blow of dust, or initiate other special effects. Or speak into it to give a command or trigger an action

MobiGo 2 also functions as an e-reader, photo album, photo viewer, art studio and coloring book, and is a great value as it comes pre-loaded with three great games that take advantage of the product’s many features. The expanded onboard memory allows kids to store more fun. More than 80 other apps are available for download at the VTech Learning Lodge Navigator™ at www.VTechKids.com/Download. While there, join Club VTech for added discounts.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for VTech. I received product samples to facilitate my review.

  1. My first 2 children loved and still love their MobiGos! Unfortunately, one is missing and the other was dropped by their 3 year old sister and the screen is damaged.
I was unaware there was a MobiGo2, I thought Vtech was goign with a new system. Thanks for sharing!
