Tropical Traditions sent me a 32 ounce jar of Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil.  This oil has all the benefits of Virgin Coconut Oil without the coconut taste.  To read more about the differences between all the coconut oils, read HERE.  I use Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil when I don’t want the sweet coconut taste, especially when I am frying eggs or chicken.  For more cooking ideas check out their Coconut Recipe page.
What exactly is Organic Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil?  Tropical Traditions explains it as:
Tropical Traditions Organic Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil is made from certified organic coconuts that have NOT been treated with chemicals or fertilizers. It is certified organic according to European and USDA standards. Our Organic Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil is high in the medium chain fatty acids, such as Lauric acid. Organic Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil is less expensive than Virgin Coconut Oil, and because it goes through a steam deodorizing process the taste is very bland, unlike Virgin Coconut Oil which retains the odor and taste of fresh coconuts.
In addition to coconut oil, Tropical Traditions also carries a wide variety of coconut products, other healthy oils, cleaning products and environment friendly items.
