What Will You Do When The Power Goes Out?

Although we do not live in an extremely rural area, we do not live in a hugely populated area either. We are probably considered somewhere between a suburb and the country. We get a lot of storms here, especially in the spring, much more so than other parts of town. We probably get 1-2 tornados every season and at least a dozen severe thunder and rain storms. Needless to say, our power goes out all the time. It would not be so bad if it were not for Henry and some of the traits he has from his autism. He is extremely sensitive to loud sounds and he is deathly afraid of the dark. Put a good thunderstorm and the power going out and we are in for huge trouble. We have tried candles, but he is afraid the house will burn and flashlights are not powerful enough. He wants the lights on darn it! Thankfully, we were introduced to a mighty powerful product from Ryobi Outdoor Products that has solved all of our problems! For your indoor needs, you can also find a huge selection from Ryobi Power Tools.

When The Power Goes Out

Ryobi Tools is one of the innovators and leaders in the world of power tool manufacturers. Ryobi is the popular go to brand for millions of homeowners, woodworkers, hobbyists, crafts enthusiasts, as well as business owners and contractors. Their AP10 was one of the world’s first portable bench top planers, which is very impressive . The BT3000 was the first affordable, precision woodcutting system and they still continue to break the barriers between power tools and affordability. All of the Ryobi products are backed by a 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee and 3-Year Limited Warranty. Their tools are sold exclusively through The Home Depot, which is perfect for their excellent prices, staff and large product selection.

We were sent the Ryobi 2200-Watt Gasoline Powered Digital Inverter Generator, which sells for $599.00 at The Home Depot. I cannot gush over this product enough to come close to how much it deserves. It has been a huge lifesaver for us as we have had the power go out probably 10 times since it arrived. When I came home from my shoulder surgery, I had an electric ice pack. This was a lifesaver for me because it cut down on the pain so much, and I had it on constantly the first week. During that first week, we had a power outage twice for several hours, and I do not want to think about what life would have been like without the Inverter Generator.

It is so incredibly quiet that you almost do not know it is on. It has an idle-down technology feature that gives you better fuel efficiency, and the rear wheels and the extending handle make moving it quite easy. It also has 2200 Starting / 1800 Running Watts, 8.75 hours run time at 400 watts and 5 hours at 900 watts, 106cc OHC, 4 cycle engine and a 120-volt AC (2), 12-volt DC (1) parallel kit capable. I just love our generator and cannot wait to accumulate more of the fantastic Ryobi products to our collection. I am most excited about their electric lawnmower as well as their line of hand tools that would be easy for me to use. You can see the whole line of products on the Ryobi website and be sure to follow the Ryobi Outdoor Products on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.
