Comcast Cable Communications Management, LLC, through its contractor, Mom Central Consulting, provided a promotional item as a thank you to the blogger who made this post for participating in this campaign. The opinions and experiences expressed in this post are solely the bloggers opinions, based on the blogger’s experiences and do not reflect any positions or opinions of Comcast Communications Management, LLC Now with that being said, I love Comcast. I have been with them ever since I can remember. We use our internet and our cable through them, and I even have their apps downloaded to my tablets and telephone for on the go.
The main reason I have the apps downloaded is to keep my kids entertained when we are out. Nothing is more frustrating to a kid, than having to sit still for an hour at a doctor’s office with nothing to do. Comcast Xfinity has a HUGE selection of kids programming from top brands like Cartoon Network, Disney, PBS, Sprout and a ton more. If you are a Comcast customer, you can have all the best kids TV shows your child loves like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sid the Science Kid, Sofia the First, and more. You can even download these for when you are in the car without a hotspot. This is great for me because we live pretty far away from a lot of places we need to travel to.
For when we go on longer trips, like to see Vovoa (Portuguese for Grandma) we are so thankful to have access to Comcast On Demand’s catalog. It has over 1,000 downloadable kid-friendly shows with Xfinity Digital TV and Streampix subscriptions. The Xfinity TV Player app allows customers to download content directly to your mobile devices for offline viewing. Once you have downloaded your programs, you just disconnect from the internet and you can still watch your shows! Pretty neat. You can learn how to download content with the Xfinity TV Player app through the slideshow found here.
Xfinity has parental controls as well as an easy way to find age-appropriate content for your kids. Common Sense Media integrated with Xfinity TV to bring this service to you allowing you to make informed choices about what your kids watch through a rating system. It has been fully integrated into Comcast’s next-generation X2 platform and allows you to filter content by age and most-watched. You can use this service on all of your devices so no matter where you are, you can use the parental controls. You can fins more about Xfinity’s Summer of Kids at their website, and connect with them on Twitter @Xfinity_TV.
