Art With A PurposeArt With A Purpose

I have always loved all forms of art, especially if it is art with a purpose.  Both of my daughters are artists, so over the years I have developed a deep appreciation for the art world and those who live in it.  For me, I can’t draw a stick figure; so therefore, I have even more of an appreciation for all the talented artisans in the world.  AS a homeschool mom, I am always looking for interesting platforms that I can turn into a lesson.  If there is a fun math game online, I know Henry will respond to that much more than he will with a book.  If I can use a piece of art to tell a story, Henry will be engrossed in the story of the art.  I guess it is a little like singing the alphabet instead of learning it from the big letters across the wall.  We have used art to teach about recycling, other cultures and tons of other interesting things.

Bird MobileChildren Inspire Design is the perfect place where art, education, compassion and a love for our planet flows freely.  Rebecca wanted to create a business that offered fun and whimsical art that could also a teaching tool.  Rebecca is dedicated to teach others how to be more environmentally and socially responsible.  The art at Children Inspire Design has been lovingly created to teach children about other cultures, languages and protecting our planet.  I admire Rebecca so much for her commitment to partner with business that are run by some very important people; women.  Rebecca has tapped into this community of women who contribute goods and services that makes Children Inspire Design the wonderful and caring company it is.  Rebecca has recently created a program called the One Mother to Another initiative.  This program has a common thread that connects mothers from around the world, and that thread is a profound love for their children.  These women handcraft items that are sold by Children Inspire Design, which earns them not only money, but also hope.  These women are able to be empowered by their work so that may give their daughter’s empowerment as well. With every product you buy from Children Inspire Design, they in turn buy two items from the women at One Mother to Another.  How cool is it that you can help a woman help her children by purchasing one of the precious products from Children Inspire Design.

Cute Eco-Friendly Wall Art

When I first saw the cute eco-friendly wall art from Children Inspire Design I wanted one of everything!! The products from this company are so cute and fun that any one of them would bring a smile to your face!  After getting some much needed help from Anna, we decided on the recycled paper bird mobile ($56.00) and the Global Compassion Map ($40.00).  Each item is made with repurposed paper, soy inks and they are packaged I biodegradable goods.  I absolutely love the mobile.  Each bird has an origami feel and they are so cleverly designed!  They are bright and happy and surprisingly well made!  It would fit into just about any room in your home.  The Global Compassion map was Henry’s favorite.  We are gearing up for geography lessons with our home school and this poster came at the perfect time.  The small pictures that are placed along the globe make it a really great conversation starter.  We love it so much that I am framing it so we can keep it for years to come. Please note that Rebecca has partnered with Future Fortified, which is an organization who is committed to help women and children around the room gain access to essential nutrients they need.  For a limited time, Rebecca is offering signed limited edition prints of the Global Compassion poster.  100% of those proceeds will go to Future Fortified, and that money will afford an entire month’s worth of nutrients for 20 children in Kenya!  How amazingly wonderful is that?

One reader will win a Global Compassion Map (ARV $40.00)
