Living in “The Sunshine State” of Florida we are always looking for lip balm.  Long days out on the boat or at the beach always have me searching for something for my lips.  I had the opportunity to review Carmex’s new line of Vanilla and Lime Twist.  I tried the Vanilla first and it went on really smooth.  I immediately started to feel this cooling sensation, it has a nice mild vanilla scent which I enjoyed.  The lip balm is thin and very smooth so there is no build up on your lips (its NOT waxy at all). It has a nice little shine to it as well which is great for me because I am not big into lipstick.  The best part is that has sunscreen in it, SPF 15.  This is a huge plus for our family because we are very active outside year round and we need lip balm with SPF for our hot Florida sun!  Of course, my 4 yr old had to try it out as well because she has to be just like Mommy.  She said “Mommy I just love this lip stuff, it feels funny and smells so yummy”!

My husband works outside for a living and is always fighting dry cracked lips.  His eyes lit up when I gave him the Lime Twist lip balm to try out.  He had nothing but good things to say when he got home.  He loved that it was so full of moisture and it lasted a long time in between applications (he only had to apply it twice the whole day). He liked the mild lime scent, he was worried it would be overpowering and that his co-workers would wonder what the deal was (he’s a man’s man).  He usually reapplies his old lip balm 6-7 times a day!  Carmex’s new Lime Twist is his new favorite lip balm because it lasts a long time, has SPF and is full of moisture to heal his cracked lips.
