With summertime right around the corner, we are taking advantage of the beautiful Spring sunshine here in Southwest Florida by getting an early start on grilling season. Since moving into my new house with the water right in my backyard, I have pictured many outdoor gatherings with family and friends, firing up the grill for some fresh and delicious food to share, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. I just couldn’t wait any longer to get started! I don’t know about you, but the first thing I crave when someone mentions having a cookout is a thick, juicy steak. My all time favorite cut is the beautifully marbled rib eye, perfectly seasoned and set to sizzle on the grill over classic coals. I was very excited when I got my new Char-Broil Kettleman Grill! Though it used to be a delicate process to perfect, like everything else, char grilling has evolved, and is easier and more enjoyable than ever before.
Temperature control is most important to ensure even cooking and prevent burning. This grill’s built in features, such as vents around the entire kettle, a porcelain coated no-fall-through grate and flare up control keep everything inside cooking perfectly evenly. It’s wide stance and heavy legs keep the cooking surface stable. Ashes are stored tight to make cleanup a breeze and the hinged lid latches, which make it very easy to move.
