Before my daughter was born, before even my baby shower I received the greatest gift I have ever been given. It wasn't clothing, a"how-to" book or even don't-know-how-I-ever-lived-without-it baby gear. It was just a simple, striped journal. From the moment I got it it I poured my heart out inside. From those first few nerve racking days to every pregnancy milestone and hill along the away. It wasn't just a journal. They were individual letters written to my daughter. I asked her what she looked like, we discussed name choices, and I wrote to her everything I hoped she would be and all that I wanted her to accomplish.

Even though I haven't won (yet ;)) I've been thinking about what we could do with $5,000. It would go a long way towards Maddilyn's college fund but I think we may divide it into half. Half for her college fund and half in a savings account for her to take trips and learning experiences while she grows up – because you should never wait until your "older" to begin experiencing life.
What would you do with $5,000? Enter to win the Huggies® Little Hands, Big Plans Essay Contest today!
