Welcome to the next edition to Weight loss Wednesday, a feature we will be bringing you each week! You can read Jennifer’s post from last week, Keeping a Food Diary for Weight loss. This week, I am excited to invite you to share in my journey to permanent weight loss with Medifast. I am excited to share with you what my first week with Medifast has been like.
Making A Fresh Start With Medifast
Recently, I attended an informational seminar hosted by Medifast here in Knoxville. I was intrigued by the medically approved weightloss program and the food sounded really yummy. When I spoke with Renee from Medifast, she was so sweet! She spoke with me for almost an hour telling me more about the Medifast Blogger Outreach program. Renee told me I would be a good fit and I was so happy, I could hardly wait to get started!! I went online and chose my food for the month and within a few days; it was delivered right to my door. How convenient is that?! When you receive your first box from Medifast, they send several tools to help you prepare your meals. You will get a shake container, a container with a lid for puddings or soft serves and a great mug with a lid and spoon for your soups or chili. You will also receive a fantastic cookbook and several sheets of wonderful information and a great DVD to go over the program and give you some added support.
Finding A Diet Plan That Works
The program is so simple to do that I have had absolutely no issues with preparing the meals or sticking to the program. I am so glad I didn’t give up on finding a diet plan that works for me. You will eat every 2-3 hours which will include 2 main meals per day and 3 snacks. You will eat one meal that you prepare called your “Lean and Green” meal. I love chicken and broccoli, so add a salad with a fat free dressing, and I am happy as a clam. I love this program because the food is absolutely delicious. I have a sweet tooth, so I ordered several items that would satisfy that craving. With chocolate mint soft serve, chocolate chip bar, chocolate and strawberry shakes and chocolate pudding, I am in heaven! I also ordered cream of chicken soup, chili, chicken and wild rice soup, ranch mini rice cakes and vegetable crackers. Each box comes with individually wrapped food and they are incredibly easy to make. I use the small container and lid and make pudding in that and I make a soft serve in one of my small plastic containers and I pop those in the fridge and freezer so I can eat them later in the day. With my cool mug with its detachable spoon, I make my soups or chili.
I could not be happier with this program and I am really excited to take you along on my journey of successful weight loss. Next time, I am going to tell you all about the delicious eggs I love.
