Gifts For The Graduate

When my daughter graduated from college, it was one of my most proudest moments. She had been the first in our family to get her college diploma and it was a huge accomplishment for her. I know it was difficult at times, but she pushed through and made it all the way! A few years later, I went to nursing school and graduated as the second person from our family to mark that milestone. Now my son in law is about to complete his college degree and I am trying to find him a really nice gift. I did a little research and found these top fur suggestions:

Top 4 Gifts For The Grad

  1. Trip: I know when I graduated from college, I was completely drained! I felt like I had held my breath for 4 years and was finally able to exhale. I would have loved to have been given a trip to a fun locale, even if it were for a few days.
  2. Keurig: I drank a whole lot of coffee when I was in college, especially for those mornings after an all night study session. I became quite the coffee snob and a Keurig would have been a really great gift for me.
  3. Framed Diploma: I worked really hard for that diploma, so I shoul show it off, right? I would have loved to get a really nice frame for my diploma from a professional framer. Mine is still in its cover in my bookcase!
  4. Watch: I was always late for class because I never wore a watch. I would have loved to have one, but I never thought to buy myself one. I know my son in law does not have a nice watch and he would get a kick out of the wooden watches from Jord.

When I give a gift, I want it to be memorable, you know, stand out. Who wants their gift for that special person on their special day be one of several they received that day. When you give a Jord watch, you know you are giving them a gift they will not get from anyone else. I think the reason giving a watch would be a cool gift is because it represents how valuable time is. And if you make that watch an eco friendly wooden watch like those from Jord, it makes it even more special!

I was sent the The Fieldcrest in Maple, which retails for just $120. This watch is the perfect midsize watch with a monochromatic wood face, bezel, and strap which really showcases the wood grain. This unisex watch would be the perfect gift for the guy or gal on your grad gift list. It is scratch resistant, which I can appreciate as I am pretty tough on my watches. Each JORD watch is designed to be splash proof but is not intended for complete submergence in water. Also note that due to the nature of the wood chosen for each unique timepiece, colors and grain pattern may vary from photos. Check out this cool slideshow featuring the gorgeous watches from Jord.
