stay close to family everyone Where I live in Florida is around 3 hours away from my parents. When I was younger and in college, it was amazing! My parents were close enough when I really needed them but definitely far enough away to give me my space and privacy. Now that I am a mom of almost 2, I wish my family was much closer, especially my mom. While we should see each other more, sometimes it just doesn’t work out for us to make the trip back and forth. Even though we have lived this way for the past 10 years, we still find ways to stay close. stay close to family mom

4 Ways To Stay Close To Family

  1. Video Chat: Video chatting is a great way for family to be present when it’s not possible for them to physically be there. Bring you family to special events like birthday parties or anniversaries, or even bring them to the delivery room to see the birth of their new grandchildren. Video makes it easy to share precious memories.
  2. Text Message: Text messaging is the easiest way to communicate with family members. It is instantaneous and pictures, video clips and other forms of media can be shared in just moments. It may take a special visit to your particular family member to teach them how to text, as I had to do.
  3. Social Media: This is an informal way to stay in touch, but is still an important element. Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram allow pictures to be shared to family. Facebook and Twitter updates also allow family members to be in the know about what is happening in your life, and vice versa.
  4. Phone Calls: It is great to get into the habit of making regular phone calls to family members who you would like to stay close with. Personally, I usually call my mom multiple times per day or week.
