I have always loved painting my nails and have been known to switch colors several times a week. I used to have my nails done at the salon, but I had to stop when I started nursing school. Now that I have graduated, I have been looking at different ways you can create nail art. I have experimented with a few designs I have found online and some turned out pretty good. Caitlin and I tried several of them while she was on Spring Break. One of the things we have been dying to try was decorating your nails with foils. I found a ton of pictures of completed designs and they just look so cool. One of the companies I thought had some great products was Ciate which is located across the pond in the UK. I was not surprised when I found out celebrities like Pink, Rihanna and Adele used Ciate products on their nails, I had to have some! I was sent two different nail design packs from their Colourfoil collection: Kaleidoscoptic Klash and Wonderland
Learning How To Use Foil Nail Art Is Easy
The amazing Colourfoil kits from Ciate were inspired by London’s urban street artists. With this kit, you have all you need to create a cool graffittied look that is longwearing. The set comes complete with a pro formula paint pot, glue and several Colourfoil sheets in six shiny foil colors. You get to create your own color combinations or you can go with just one.
I could not believe learning how to use foil nail art is easy with the kit from Ciate. All you do is paint two coats of the pro formula paint pot and let it dry. Next you put on one coat of the nail glue and let it dry until it is clear. Now you pick your foil and press down firmly and quickly peel it off. You can play around and have some fun like Caitlin and I did. As you can see from my nails, I need some practice, but I think they look just great! You can purchase both of the kits from the Ciate website for $18.00.
