Learnalot.com is an online educational software to help make math learning fun. Just in time for summer vacation is here, Learnalot provides an entertaining way for kids ages 11 to 16 to hone their math skills. The games are set up on like a speed test, where you race against a timer trying to beat others on a leaderboard or even members of your own family or school. I tested out the family account with my son and we played several math games that I thought would be sort of easy. I was aiming for easy since it has been almost 20 years since I took a math class. I opted for addition! The games reminded me of when I used to race an opponent in middle school to reinforce your times tables. The music plays in the background in the usual gaming fashion which causes you to speed up and stimulate your brain.
You are able to set up several accounts (up to four) so all or at least most of the children in your family can play against each other. There is an administrator account where you as the parent can oversee what games your kids play as well as what areas they are excelling and need improvement on. You can also pit your score against all the other Learnalot players on the leaderboard.
There are several different types of games to choose from that challenge different math subjects such as things as simple addition all the way up to geometry and spacial relation problems. If you are a teacher, they also have teacher accounts to utilize for your school students. For a more thorough explanation of the benefits of Learnalot: Benefits. Try the 14-day free trial here.
