Lullabelly sent me a awesome prenatal music belt to review. Lullabelly is a soft, adjustable belt that attaches to to any ipod, MP3 Player, smartphone, or laptop. Inside the belt your small device can be placed inside. The belt is equipped with speaker unit that is has a volume similar to a speaking voice and can be controlled by mom. Most people would think I’m always nesting because I’m such a clean freak. One of the neatest features is that you can remove the sound system and toss the belt into the washing machine.
I so wish I had this when I was pregnant with my daughters. When I was pregnant with Ava, I had a desk job and would always wrap my head phones around my belly. Ava loved listening to the soft lullaby music! She would have a dance party in my belly and I loved it. When I returned from my maternity leave, I had to replace my head phones because they were so stretched out. My second daughter only got to listen to me sing to my first daughter because I was a mom on the go and didn’t have time to sit at a computer or have a free hand to carry around my ipod. The Lullabelly is perfect for mom’s on the go since you can put small devices inside the zipper pocket.
It has been found that playing music during pregnancy helps reduce stress levels. When a mom relaxes it produces serotonin and dopamine that are transferred to the baby through the placenta. Research also supports that music increases the development of language and memory skills of your baby. Why not create a special bond with your baby by enjoying a little soft music time together. Not pregnant, this is a perfect gift! Check out Lullabelly!
