Moms, would you love to get away from the hustle and bustle of being “super mom” for just a little while? Wouldn’t it be great to take time to get a little rest and relaxation, eat a meal without being interrupted and be the one getting pampered? We could even call it a “Wellness Getaway”. Do you think that would sell to our friends and family? I am not so sure about you, but for me it would be a hard sell for my husband. He works three jobs so I’m sure he would argue that point with me. However, it is a really nice idea! I also think it would be fun to go with a group of mom friends, to not only reconnect with them but to rekindle some old friendships.
Plan A Wellness Getaway
I would like to run with this idea for a while, since maybe it would be something right up your alley. Let’s pretend like we are going to plan a wellness getaway! There is a resort in St. Lucia that is actually called TheBodyHoliday that has its own Wellness Centre. They are offering a 40% off discount in October. This is not just any Wellness Centre; it was voted Top Spa in the Caribbean by Spa Finder’s annual Reader Choice award in 2008 and 2009. In 2009 Condé Nast Traveller voted them as the second Best Spa Retreat Worldwide. Then in 2011 the readers of Condé Nast Traveller voted again and they won the Favorite Overseas Spa Retreat in the world. This is not a small potatoes type of resort. I mean, if we are going to dream, lets dream big, right?
Delight Your Senses
This Wellness Centre is all about relaxation, restorative beauty, exercise and good diet. When you arrive at the spa resort, they have an inclusive treatment, which means every day of your stay (except on the days of arrival and departure) you will receive one of a possible 7 pre-paid, 50-minute body treatments designed to relax, rejuvenate and awaken your senses. This sounds delightful, right?
The also offer beauty essentials, which are things such as tinting or shaping of eye brows, tinting eye lashes, manicure, pedicure, threading, etc. Another service of theirs is personalized wellness, such as weight loss, stress management, fitness and tone, etc. How about some holistic therapies? There you could choose from acupuncture, reflexology, Qi Gong, Life Coaching, and so much more.
There are way too many services this place has to offer, but it sounds like you would walk out of there feeling like a marshmallow! How does a Wellness Getaway sound to you? Do you ever do pampering retreats for yourself or with friends/family?
