Santa's Top Interactive Toys For Kids This Year

I am lucky to have kids who have pretty active imaginations. As much as they love to play their video games or on their tablets, they also love to play with their toys and games. Whenever possible, I try to find interactive toys for kids so they will use their creativity to make the toy more fun. There is nothing like hearing a little boy in his room making those “vroom vrroom” sounds as he scoots his cars and trucks along the floor. I do not know about your little man, but mine would swear up and down he was the actual driver of those cars and he was right in the drivers seat manning the vehicle! For Christmas this year, I wanted to find the kids some toys they would be able to play with together. As they are getting older, they are finding their own interests and are not spending as much time together as they used to. With the huge selection of toys and games from Spin Master, I knew they would have tons of fun for months to come!

Spin Master had humble beginnings back in 1994 in a garage filled with sawdust, grit and a lot of spirit. Three buddies took $10,000, some awesome ideas and got to work on their first product; The Earth Buddy. The little guy who had a head covered in pantyhose and sprouted grass hair became a hit and they never looked back. The product that made Spin Master a household name was the “Sky Shark”, the first of the “Air Hogs” line, which was fashioned after an air pressurized airplane. You may have heard of another product that launched the Spin Master name into fame and that would be Bakugan. This breakout toy of 2008 also won three 2009 TOTY awards for Boy Toy of the Year, Property of the Year, and Toy of the Year, the industry’s most prestigious award. Wow!

We were sent a HUGE box of the COOLEST of Santa’s interactive toys for kids this year. We received the following toys which can be found on Amazon as well as Toys R Us, Target, Walmart and other fine stores:

  • Boom Boom Balloon: This hilarious game, which sells for $19.99 on Amazon, is a bit like the game “Don’t Break The Ice”. The object is to have each player take turns pressing their stick into the balloon until it pops. The one who makes it pop is the LOSER!
  • Flutterbye Flying Fairy: This adorable flying beauty, which sells for $34.99 on Amazon, will leap upward from your hand and dance and twirl in the air. She is graceful and pretty and any little girl will have hours of fun with her. This toy was Walmart top toy chosen by kids!
  • Air Hogs Atmosphere: This powered hovering orb, sells for $24.99 on Amazon and will float above any surface. The spherical shape allows it to bounce off any surface. O.R.B charges when docked on the cradle, which also includes button to deactivate the O.R.B.
  • Kawaii Crush Hyper Happy Mall: This is a great gift for little girls ages 4+ and sells for $29.99 on Amazon. It is loaded with five great places to play, has a real working elevator and comes with over 40 accessories!
  • Hogs Helix Stunt Quad Copter:  This is Henry’s favorite and it sells for $79.99 on Amazon. It is a high-performance, easy-to-fly Quad Copter that performs backflips, barrel rolls and 180 flips with the push of a button.

  • DreamWorks Dragon Defenders: We received the Berk Toothless, Hookfang and Belch and Barf dragons, which sells for $12.99 each on Amazon. Each Dragon Defender comes with it’s own special power, like Toothless that can launch missiles or Hookfang which can launch two disc missiles at once. These are awesome for boys of any age and Henry was kept entertained pretending with them on the trampoline for HOURS!
  • Spy Gear Panosphere 360 Spy Cam: This is one of the coolest toys for boys ages 8+ and sells for $59.99 on Amazon. This is by far Henry’s most treasured toy from SpinMaster. The Spy Cam records video in a 360 degree panoramic view. It is really so cool and hard to describe. You can take up to 2,000 HD photos or record 10 minutes of video. This is a must have for the older boy on your gift list this year.
  • HedBanz Act Up Game: This follow up to the popular Hedbanz game is a fast paced game similar to charades and sells for $19.99 on Amazon. Each player places a card intheir Headband and the other players must act out the word and the player must guess what card they have. You cannot talk but there will be a lot of laughing for sure. This was a HUGE hit at a recent kid’s party and we cannot wait to play it with My oldest daughter at Christmas.

I cannot say enough great things about the toys from SpinMaster. The guys over there know exactly what kids like and they make the perfect gifts for them. Honestly, there was not a toy in the bunch the kids did not go back and play with time and time again. You will be pleased with the high quality and construction of the toys so you know they will hold up under a lot of play. If you have kids on your holiday gift list, these toys really should be on it!
