Hyatt (3)

The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch is a beautiful resort both for its architectural splendor as well as its natural surroundings. The resort and spa was built with the famous Frank Lloyd Wright for inspiration against a backdrop of the majestic McDowell Mountains. You can enjoy the beauty of nature on the 27 acre complex, that is enveloped by a breathtaking landscape. You will see a carpet palm trees, cacti and gorgeous wildflowers. The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch offers such amenities that include a championship golf course, the Spa Avania, a 2.5 acre water park that the whole family can enjoy and tennis. There were tiny little places of pure heaven staggered throughout the property. I sat in the couch above at around 6 am (I was still on East Coast time) and curled up with a wonderful book. It was pure bliss.

Even though the resort was a perfect place to sit back and relax for us adults, they also have great activities for kids! I cannot wait to bring my boys to experience The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort. The Camp Hyatt Kachina is a program designed specifically for guests with children ages 3-5 and 6-12.

At Camp Hyatt Kachina kids can learn about the local culture and geography as well as explore all that nature has to offer them. The kids will enjoy playing games and participating in activities like making Indian Headbands or a clay pinch pot. Parents can leave their children in good hands as the staff are well trained and are there to care for the kids while mom and dad get some alone time.

Enjoy The Beauty Of Nature

With almost 500 beautifully designed and decorated guestrooms, there is sure to be a room for every taste and budget. You can relax in your private casita or enjoy the spacious rooms for individuals, groups or families. This is one of the private casitas by the pool. It was so nice to be able to lay out and get sun, while being able to chat with my friends who were wanting to stay more in the shade. There really was something-for-everyone!

You can enjoy the beauty of nature with the view from your personal balcony or patio (where available), wi-fi, flat screen TV’s and refrigerators. This is the view from my balcony room. Isn’t it breathtaking? It totally made me want to move in the resort so I could wake up to that view every day.

It was so pretty I took a picture the next day too!

This is my room from the view point from behind the table. I had a light lunch waiting for me when I arrived and they had turned to a calming radio station. The atmosphere oozed luxury!

The bathroom had a wicked shower with a huge rainwater shower head and an additional shower sprayer. These were the “In case you forgot” items that the Hyatt provided. Not to shabby huh?

Alto restaurant

If you get hungry, like most people do, the Alto Ristorante E Bar is a great place to go and it is right onsite at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort. We were treated to a sampling of a few of the appetizers that they offer before being invited to dine on a smattering of mouth-watering main dishes. We tried the Southwestern Caesar Salad, Gnocchi Del Giorno, and the Pollo Alla Buranea along with many others. Unfortunately for you, but great for me, I soon was too enthralled with the food to continue taking pictures. You will have to go see for yourself!

Arizona Wine Tasting

To wrap our visit up quite nicely, we participated in their Arizona Wine Challenge. We were provided 2 glasses of each of the wines in a rose, a red and a white. One was from an Arizona wine company and another from a source outside of Arizona. We did the blind taste test and chose which wine we preferred. After we all tasted and told, we were given the results. Our group preferred Arizona wine to the other brand 3:2. I think that is pretty cool because I wasn’t even aware of Arizona wine prior to the trip. Don’t you fret….over the next few days, you will learn a lot about the unforgettable time I had in Arizona or you can check our hashtag at #BloggersGo.

  1. I definitely need to visit the Hyatt Regency! That looks like pure bliss. I can imagine myself taking a weekend getaway by myself and catching up on blogging while relaxing. Ahhh nice!
