Alligator Attack

If you want to visit a fun and interesting attraction in Kissimmee where you can avoid those big crowds and lines that go on forever, then Wild Florida Airboats is for you.  This exciting airboat tour that the entire family will love, allows you to see a variety of wildlife in the 4,200 acre preserve that is all Florida wilderness that has been untouched by man.  You need to have a sense of adventure though! I mean I got chomped on right when I walked in the front door!

Experience Kisssimmee

The only thing you will see on this swamp buggy ride, is the breathtaking natural beauty of Central Florida.  You won’t see any condos or golf courses on this tour! Wild Florida is owned and operated by native Floridians who happen to own the land.  You and your family will love the sights while skimming the waters of the Everglades on a Coast Guard certified airboat driven by a Coast Guard certified captain. If you are lucky you might even come across a baby alligator or two!

Baby Alligator
The Wild Florida Airboat tours are located just a short drive from the Orlando area and take place in one of the most idyllic and magical areas of Florida.  You can choose from a day, sunset or night airboat tour that takes you right into the Central Florida marshes and swamps that make up the gorgeous Everglades.

We were treated to sightings of the docile deer, cattle, boars turkeys and other passive animals like this all-seeing ostrich, as well as the potentially dangerous alligators!

The 500 foot scenic fishing dock allows you a closer look at the swap where, if you dare, can have your picture taken while holding a baby alligator.  I am so glad I brought a great camera that captured all the beauty of the Everglades.

When you are finally on dry land, there is still a lot for you to see.  New to the attraction is an awesome wildlife park where you can see such creatures as zebras, deer, water buffalo, wild boars and the very cool Watusi  The Watusi  which originated in Africa, is at home in the wetlands where they feed on leaves and grass.  This animal, that can weigh up to 1,600 pounds, is recognized for their very long horns that can span up to 8 feet. It is not very often you can get close enough to a brute like this guy.

Florida Alligator

You can visit the aviary that houses beautiful tropical birds or see an exciting alligator demonstration that you can participate in that is performed by the highly trained staff. The one thing that can distract you from the amazing wildlife and the natural beauty is the intoxicating smell of the authentic and mouthwatering BBQ.  This is some of the best BBQ I have ever had the pleasure of eating.  Before leaving the property, I had to stop into the gift shop and find something to bring home to my boys.  I know they are going to love the necklaces I bought that are made of real alligator teeth!  This was such a relaxing day filled with so much to see that I will definitely visit again with my family.
